Jennifer and B celebrated the birth of their new baby girl Katherine Arabella Ostrander on 20 May 2008.
Just a few weeks later we were so happy to receive a visit from Jennifer, Brian and baby Katie at Jilba Dressage. Katie met with Jennifer's mare Melisande and received her seal of approval. Both horse and Katie seemed to say "Hi" to each other. Katie also met with Jules Anderson who who will riding Melisande in th near future. Jules thought that Katie looked like a rider.

Good Horseman Acknowledgment for Jules
|
COME BACK SOON, JULES!--We will sorely miss the expressive and competitive riding of Jules Anderson, who for many years--especially in 2007--filled the GHF shows with her horses in training and the horses of her energetic and dedicated students. The June 2007 GHF show could have been called "The Jules Anderson Show" because it was completely scheduled around the four FEI horses that she was competing--both days! Clever as she is, she has not found a way to ride two horses at once! After her very successful winter season in Florida, she will move back home to Virginia to help her mother, FEI dressage judge Libby Anderson, whose recent riding accident precipitated Jules' move.

Great Dressage Show During a Heat Wave in VA!
|
VADA/Nova Summer Dressage Show at Morven Park 7-8 June 2008
Wow, this was a scorcher of a weekend with temperatures hovering around and above the 100 degrees mark. We had a great and 'heat tough' team with Jules, Libby, working student Lelia and our two barn grooms Ismael and Francisco. We took three horses to this show and two of them were “first timers”.
Willemina the 5 yr old mare KWPN mare by Ulft and Z. Orlando a 4 yr old KWPN gelding by Nevada.

Last week was a busy one for Jules at the Loxahatchee barn in Florida.
Jules has regular dressage lessons with Courtney who has a barn just next door which makes hacking over a breeze. Narobi is doing very well with lovely expressive passage and much improved pirouettes.
Libby visited during the week and was suitably impressed with Narobi the "little horse who could".

Jules also took along Apollo the "new" member of the teamwork horses and he behaved very well although he did not show.
