Jock Anderson - Indispensable
Jock Anderson and myself, Libby married in 1964, having met as Masters students in Agricultural Science at the University of Queensland, Australia. Jock went on to complete a PhD in Agricultural Economics and later a higher Doctorate in Economics. While pursuing his career we had two gorgeous girls, Jules and her younger sister, by two years, Dianne.
Jock spends much of his time writing research papers, traveling the world and consulting as an economist for international organizations. In 1989 Jock accepted a position in the agricultural policy unit of the World Bank in Washington DC. I moved to the US at this time following my husband's work.

Jock has received many awards including distinguished fellowships from the American Agricultural Economics Association, the Australian Agricultural Economics Society and the International Association of Agricultural Economists. Jock's work and interests are focused on effective agricultural development in the developing world.

Jock and I enjoy our weekends 'off' at Jilba, doing farm chores, playing croquet, playing with dogs and grand children, swimming and generally relaxing, preferably with a glass of wine at hand in the evening.

Jock retired from the World bank in 2006 and now is busy consulting for the World Bank and other International Institutions working with "risk and uncertainty" in developing countries.
